Self-help letters

We have listed below a number of self-help letters that you can use as templates, or amend to your own specification, in making a complaint about goods or services.
Letters are loaded in a simple text format so that they can be loaded into any word processor. We will be regularly adding to this page but if you have any other suggestions for helpful letters please let us know on our feedback form.

Faulty goods

You may find these letters helpful if you have problems with goods you have purchased from a shop:

Basic letter when rejecting unsatisfactory goods
